Paul is a composer who writes in varied and eclectic styles of music. From ‘acid-Vivaldi’ depicting the world of 1980’s Venice to the sweeping melodies and emotional impact of Heroine and the great love story of Xerxes and Esther, Paul creates unique and compelling sound palettes to support the storytelling.

Geoff.

Geoff has Gephyrophobia - a fear of crossing bridges. To avoid his anxiety disorder, he has constructed an ingenious (and sometimes ridiculous) daily routine, but when the woman he loves offers an opportunity to change, Geoff must confront his fear, or loose everything.

Written and directed by Will Kenning & Michael Rouse, produced by Jimmy Yuill with Music by Paul Knight.

Melodies For You - Paul Knight

This was a Lockdown Project.

I decided to get my fingers moving and relearn some of the pieces of my youth. Each one is linked to a memory - the first time I played in public, winning a competition, a special melody for my grandmother, first time on the BBC. The title is inspired by Eric Robinson’s wonderful Sunday morning programme on the then ‘light’ programme of the same name where he would play an eclectic mix of classical popular and parlour music. And of course, memories of my own wonderful piano teachers re-emerged.

Miss H P Wilde ARCM with a magnificent brass plaque on her gateway in Stockport, Kenneth
Lloyd at Mile End School, then Donald J Clarke and the wonderful Anthony Goldstone at
Chethams School of Music, all topped off with four years with Peter Element from the Royal
College of Music. I have everything to thank them for.

Big thanks to Torquil Munro for balancing and mastering, Aydee Latty for getting it on all the
music platforms and Michael Rouse for your encouragement and gritty determination to get
me to complete this project.
